As soon as she was able to voice her opinion, Lisa announced that she was hungry...more than once lets say. The food was ordered, but
was MIA for about 2 hours. Kim, the nurse kept calling to see where it was at. Poor thing. Karen emailed me the funniest email. Lisa yelled out "I want food" a minute later, she said, " I'm hungry!" half declaration and half demand. 1:00 the food arrived and Lisa ate chicken and green beans! Kelly the relief nurse told us that she is one strong woman! No one has ever eaten the same day after having this kind of surgery. You go girl!
We just asked her if she wanted the TV on..."I'll wait for Wheel of Fortune." Guess what we will be watching at 6:30?
She got upset when she realized she was bleeding...her dressing was soaked and dripping. Kim changed her dressing and her pillow case. Everything is good now. I have pictures, but will spare you this time...
Karla - ok, you might be the coolest cousin ever for doing this blog. I love getting updates so we know how to pray and it's really cool to hear the stories/past. I wish I would have recorded stories from dad on how he met mom, etc.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome treasure for your kids and our extended family.
Praying for hands Christ's protection and wisdom. Praying for strength (physical and mental) for Lisa and all of you.
- Tyler
PS - also enjoyed by the product integration (diet Pepsi) given my employer...
Talk soon and will see you in a few months.
Yes, it is Diet Pepsi all the way for Lisa! Nothing else will do.
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate that you have no one to ask on your Dad's side about your mom and dad, but you can still ask your mom's side. It is only too late when they are no longer here.
thank you for your sweet note Tyler, I will be sure to tell Lisa.
