She's doing great!

practicing walking up/down stairs at PT
Lisa is doing really good. It has been a long time since we've written because there is nothing to report really.

Lisa has had some excitement though...she went for a short vacation with Karen and her family to Grand Bear Lodge at Starved Rock. She got to go in the pool a couple of times and apparently LOVED it! but not so much to get in there more than twice! She has gone on a few convertible rides when we get Dad's '66 Buick Electra out! That is always a treat! We end up going to get ice cream each time we go and get her.

She and Carmen called Phil, her boss at the Olive Garden,  asking when she can come back. He told her anytime! Lisa was glad. She will need a job coach to go with her so that she can learn how to do things one handed. She practices at home and she gets frustrated when she is not able to get the napkins as tight as they need to be. She knows. We are trying to get her back as soon as possible. Her managers are thrilled and very happy that she will be returning! Yay!

Last week, Aunt Vera, and Aunt Priscilla made a surprise visit to her apt...You would have thought the President walked in. She was so thrilled and she beamed! She showed them that she could stand on her own and she told them to give her a kiss, she doesn't mind lipstick. Cute.

She wants to see fireworks on the 4th. We asked Dad if we could have a cookout at his house and then walk over to Miller Park. Dad said we could, so hopefully, the weather will cooperate!

Yesterday, after church, we took Lisa to Heyworth for a cookout at Karen and Russ's house. It was a cloudy and kinda cool day out...weird for the middle of June, but she loved being outside most of the day and she loves her BRATs...that's for sure!  She has her routine and she was ready to leave at 2:00 sharp. Of course, she doesn't always get what she wants, she's on other people's schedule too...but she lets it be known she doesn't want to be there. LOL!

She intends to be at the Side Walk Sale too. It is a week earlier this year. We will have the Virginia Taminger's to help us. We are always thankful for others, other than us to help out...it keeps us going and it motivates us to keep busy.

That is all for now. Hope everyone's summer is going well! Lisa is doing really good. She will go to the neurologist in a few weeks, he will see her for the first time since her whopper seizure...and will find out that she is doing better since we reduced her meds.
