Happy Days!

Well, Lisa is headed off to work again!!! She is so excited and can hardly wait. She will start off with a job coach for an hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will see how that goes and then fade the job coach! She told me yesterday that one of these days she will walk without her hemy walker. I do believe that, but first things first. She has the determination, and the will to do it. She has had some challenges with over eating, and that has to be addressed first. She will go have a physical, and then she will see a dietitian. She has gained too much weight and she is barely recognizable. It will take her a really long time for it to come off. Sad. I told her it is more fun to gain weight than to lose it. She told me "I heard you Karla" kinda irritated.

She starts work this Tuesday! Yay! I think once that starts, and she has something to look forward to, everything will fall into place with everything! She is bored out of her mind! She will ride the special services bus to and from work and will meet her job coach at Olive Garden. It will be an accomplishment and it will also be a triumph. I am sure she will be emotional too. What was supposed to be a 10 day recovery turned out to be over a year and 2 months. We are thankful for Phil wanting her back, and thankful that even though Lisa is quite a pill at times, she is still with us, teaching us lessons about perseverance and self will...
