Road Trip

Uncle Jerry Clough died on Sunday. Sad. Good for him though:)

Cousins, aunts and uncles from Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, and Indiana all gathered in Lafayette, IN for Jerry's celebration of life. He would have loved it!

I took Lisa and she was so happy to go. She thanked me several times, before we even left Bloomington. Instead of leaving early on Thursday morning for the service, we went Wed night and stayed in a hotel. Lisa walked up the steps and used her hemy walker to get around in the house. I was quite proud of her. She had really good stamina and she was just happy to be with her cousins and to be included.

The funeral was an audience participation service, well, for a few minutes anyway. If you were in any way associated with Uncle Jerry, you were to stand up...if he was your uncle, or your brother-in-law, coworker, friend or ate at restaurants with him EVER you were to stand up. After the memorial service Lisa looked at me and was pretty proud of herself saying that, "I stood up for Jerry! How'd I do?" Cute.

Thank you to all the cousins and family who helped wheel her around and for taking time to talk to her...she loved it!

She did a really good job and I am so happy that she is able to at least walk around some.
